Barcelona port will host the 18th edition of the Barcelona City International Rowing Trophy on November 9 & 10.
This year’s competition, which is organised by the Barcelona Royal Maritime Club in conjunction with Barcelona City Council and the Catalan Rowing Federation, has a record number of signed-up participants, hailing from clubs across Spain and abroad, in both the men’s the and women’s categories.
Two crews from Cambridge (GB) have confirmed they will be taking part, as well as three female crews, from Sweden, Bulgaria and Great Britain.
As regards the local presence, there will be teams for all over Catalonia: CN Banyoles, CN Tortosa, CN Amposta, RCN Tarragona and various members of the national rowing team.
The regattas will take place at 3.30 pm on Saturday 9 November, by the Rambla del Mar, opposite the Barcelona Royal Maritime Club, and from 11.30 am on Sunday, 10 November. The awards ceremony takes place on the Moll de les Drassanes wharf at 1.40 pm.
