2007, Year of Sport.

Barcelona once again sets its sights on sport. Fifteen years afther the 1992 Olympic Games, the Catalan capital will once again be paying tribute to the world of sport, a human sphere which finds room for major international competitions and everyday sport.

The starting shot of the Barcelona Marathon, on 4th March 2007, will mark the beginning of the Year of sport. From this moment on, the themed year will bring together all the sporting activities and initiatives hosted in the city every year.
