I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in a three bedded room with my husband and our son. We were surprised to find that the room, although spacious and adequate in every other way, had no access to daylight. There were windows in the room but they opened onto the inner workings of the hotel and did not let in any light. As the electric lighting in the room was very subdued it was almost impossible to read anything. Furthermore, we could not get any fresh air by opening the windows. This made the room an unpleasant place to be as we had no idea what the weather was like and we had no view of the outside world. I feel that the hotel should have made it clear at the time of booking that the room had no access to daylight or fresh air.

Soho Barcelona Hotel review: I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I just came from Barcelona Hotel SoHo and enjoyed it tremendously. The hotel didn’t have lots of the extras that some other hotels have (coffee maker in the room/clock in the room) but it was PERFECT!! The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond to help you. The location was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will look for other Hotel SoHos when we travel again. Thanks!

We would like to thank you and all your staff for another fantastic stay at your hotel.

Francesco was as helpful as ever,also his friend on reception ( I can not remember his name )he has a beard. Also the guy who served our evening meals was very charming and attentive.I must also mention the guy who runs the restaurant for breakfast does an amazing job.

We very pleased with our room and it was cleaned to perfection every day.

We would definately return to Hotel Europark

We booked this on the bases of its reviews on trip advisor. We stayed for 4 Nights in Feburary this year. On our first night when checking in we were offered a free bottle of Champagne.

Hotel staff were very friendly and couldnt be more hopeful. Location is perfect, Metro is 1.5 blocks away which brings to all the tourist attractions, Passig de Garcia is just a 5 minute walk away. LaRambla is only 15 minute walk if you choose not to use the metro.

Highly recommend the Breakfast option when booking this hotel, great choice of food and its tasty. Rooms are very comfortable and spotless clean.

I turned ill on Sunday morning , our flight was at 8pm that evening, the Hotel Manager was kind enough to let us check out at 5 pm at no extra cost. I would like to thank the manager for his generosity. Barcelona is a great city to visit and we would definately return and book into this hotel again.

Hotel Soho Barcelona review: 2 thumbs up!

Booked the Soho Barcelona from reading the good reviews on TripAdvisor. Its my 1st trip to Barcelona and Soho exceeded my expectations! Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again when I go back to Barcelona.

Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Size is perfect. The staff were also very friendly and helpful with recommendations for sightseeing and food. Location is excellent too, just at the doorstep is the Urgell Metro Station and less than a block from the Airport bus stop. You could also easily walk to Passeig de Gracia and Placa Catalunya.

Breakfast spread is also excellent. The free Wifi is a big plus for me.Cant really think of a bad thing to say actually. 2 thumbs up!

The new Filmoteca de Catalunya

The new Filmoteca de Catalunya centre in Raval is ready to start screening. It will be back to business on 21 February, though it will also be holding an open day two days before that on 19 February, from 1.30 pm to 7 pm.

The same day will see the official opening of Plaça de Salvador Seguí, near the new 6.000 square-metre Filmoteca building. The library will be open to visits, as will the exhibition Imatges confrontades: la guerra civil i el cinema [Confronting Images: the Civil War and Cinema] and there will be free film sessions.

The new Filmoteca centre, boasting two cinema halls with a total of 555 seats, also has a specialist bookshop and a cafeteria, besides offices and admin buildings.

The opening film in the regular sessions is El hombre de al lado [The Man Next Door] by Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat, considered one of the best films of 2011.

It will immediately be followed by a screening of West Side Story, marking the 50th anniversary of its premiere, and a double programme during the night session on the cinema of the Civil War, with Valentín R. González‘s Nosotros somos así, and Celuloide colectivo.

Other cycles on the 2012 programme will be going over the works of Bigas Luna, Luis Garcia Berlanga and Jacques Tourneur.

ja, wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Alleine das Zimmer mit der Terrasse und dieser Ausblick über Barcelona, einfach nur klasse.
Ein dickes Lob gilt dem gesamten Personal, welches super freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr aufmerksam ist.
