The Centre Esportiu Municipal Olímpics Vall d’Hebron is the venue for the 41st Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona de Judo, a competition that will bring together top judokas from around the world this coming Saturday, 22 February.
Men and women from Andorra, France, Italy, Holland, Nigeria, Luxembourg, Wales, Portugal, Great Britain and Catalonia will face each other in adult male and female competitions with seven weight categories (under 60 kg to over 100 kg) and seven age categories (under 48 to over 78.
Male combats will last five minutes and female, four. To take part, practitioners need at least a brown belt.
The first part of the competition will start at 9.30 am and finish at 1 pm. After a break the final set of combats, with the judokas competing for the medals, will start at 3.30 pm. And the medal ceremony will begin at around 4.30 pm.
