The third edition of Film & Cook, from 21 to 24 November, has created a fantastic new section pairing classic cinema and modern mixology. There will also be an opportunity to treat yourselves to a helping of a famous brand of beer, savour the organic biscuits of Paul & Pippa, attend a variety of food tasting and demonstration sessions as well as talks and round tables on the culinary world and many surprises for the senses.
Meanwhile, Film & Cook also has a social profile and is working with “Cuina Consciencia” [Conscience Cuisine], a project from the Raíces Foundation which promotes job placements and social inclusion for young people – Spaniards and immigrants, without role-models and in a situation of vulnerability – in the restaurant sector, by creating personal ties between them and chefs. Famous chefs such as Andoni Luis Aduriz, Paco Pérez, Quique Dacosta and Ramón Freixa have already been collaborating on this initiative, which is currently providing work for some thirty young people.
The aim behind this festival is to discover, explore and experience the links between two of the concepts and arts that surround our lives: films and food. Two experiences for taking us to unexpected places through the help of the creativity, gusto, flair and good cooking of all the people involved.
Film & Cook Festival sponsored by Núñez i Navarro Hotels.
