Barcelona’s Multiverse exhibition: An imaginary Barcelona

Posted on 2 July 2012 in Barcelona, always!

Can you imagine yourself surfing in Plaça de Catalunya? Or the Sagrada Família on Mar Bella beach? And how about the Torre Agbar moving to Parc Güell?

An imaginary Barcelona

An imaginary Barcelona

The artist Lluís Bussé has not only imagined but created amazing images of a fanciful Barcelona in a painstakingly prepared photographic work.

These snapshots of an imaginary cityscape can now be seen at an exhibition entitled Barcelona’s Multiverse on at the Palau Robert. The photos take their inspiration from the “multiverse” theory of the mathematician Hugh Everett, according to whom our universe is merely one of a host of other possible universes. Now you can discover another possible Barcelona.

Barcelona’s multiverse” and associates Lluís Bussé fits images of well known sites and monuments, and invents a new city with scenarios that may exist in a parallel universe.
