The official opening of the 3rd edition of Bargelona, the ice rink in Plaça Catalunya, has a new marquee and a area for skating in and making the most of the facilities from 22th November to 7th January 2014.
Tickets cost 9€ for an one hour and 7€ for half an hour on the rink. Tickets will naturally be at half price, with discount coupons from the shops in the shopping districts that are part of comprise the Barcelona Comerç Foundation.
According to the organisers, BarGelona is one of the largest temporary ice skating rinks in Europe. This year, the premises measures 1.400 square metres, two hundred square metres more than last year. The outdoor entrances and exits have been improved as well as the waiting area for skaters and people accompanying children skating.
The outdoor temperature is 1ºC, with an ice thickness of approximately eight centimetres. The ice rink can hold a maximum of two hundred skaters. There will always be three to six monitors providing assistance and a security guard.
