Festival of Summer at Poble Espanyol: B-Estival

Nacha Pop, the classic Spanish new wave group and Mexican singer Julieta Venegas are among the many acts at the second B-Estival, which will be held between 4 and 26 July in the Plaça Major at the Poble Espanyol.

Nacha Pop, with their hits and four new songs, will open the festival on 4 July with Los Secretos, in a double concert.

Three weeks later, on 26 July, George Benson and Al Jarreau, two legendary names from the word of jazz, will have the task of closing B-Estival.

The festival line-up also includes Julieta Venegas, who will be performing on 10 July, and Brazilian Carlinhos Brown, who, on the 25th, will be playing tracks from his latest album, A gente ainda nao sonhou.

Other participants include John Mayall (5/7), Alpha Blondy (12/7), Orishas (13/7), Youssou N’Dour (18/7).

B-Estival 2007, with a budget of around a million euros, expects to attract audiences of up to 36,000 people.

Tickets have already gone on sale, with prices ranging from 25 to 40 euros, and a 15% discount if you buy three or more.
