The most important event for second-hand and vintage item fans is FleaMarket Barcelona. It will take place next Saturday April 09, 2011 between 13h to 18h. It takes its inspiration from England’s long-standing flea markets or another european cities.
As in the last few sessions, its seat is the Eixample Youth Centre, which fills with little stalls offering all kinds of items, and not just clothing. Books, records and all sorts of accessories and ornaments have a place there.
The idea has proved a real hit, drawing in more and more people with each session who are keen to sell things they no longer use, so much so in fact that the market is becoming bit short of space at the youth centre.
Social networks offer one of the keys to understanding its success and if you’d like to take part at the FleaMarket, you can check out their wall on Facebook.
