“My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Soho for three nights in June of 2008. We had previously stayed at the Hotel Jazz which is also a NN hotel. We preferred this one because of the staff and the friendly feel.
The hotel has obviously benefited from a professional interior designer as looks great. The staff knew of the local restaurants and directed us to one which was obviously not a tourist trap, Taller 76 was its name I think.
The rooftop pool was very relaxing but not one in which you can swim laps. I would ask for a room that does not overlook the Gran Via as it is noisy for most of the day and night.
We went to the hotel by taxi but you could get the blue bus from the airport. Not all taxi drivers know of the hotel so it is a good idea to remember that it is on the corner of Gran Via and Villarroel. It is very close to the metro and you can walk to the Plaza de Catalunya and the Ramblas.
As I said, the staff were very friendly. When we came back to pick up our cases, they even waved goodbye to us. That is the first time in many years of staying at hotels that I have ever seen this.
Stay here, you won’t be disappionted.“
