On January 20th, Núñez i Navarro Group will open the Casa Lleó i Morera to the public for guided tours.
The building’s lobby, designed by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, amasses the stylistic and architectonic touchstones that defined the artistic movement that reigned from the late 19th to early 20th centuries across Europe, known as Modernisme in Catalonia and Spain, Art Nouveau in France, and Sezession in Germany.
Located at 35 Passeig de Gràcia, in Barcelona, Casa Lleó i Morera is part of what is known as the Block of Discord, where it sits beside three other exceptional architectural works in the neighborhood of L’Eixample, on Passeig de Gràcia between Aragó and Consell de Cent streets.
The guided tour begins with an exhibit that puts the building, the family, and the Modernisme movement in historical context, from a contemporary perspective. Next, visitors are given tours of the building’s first floor, patio, and façade, where they can really admire up-close the most distinctive features of the architecture and décor of the era.
Public tours, led by Cases Singulars, will be hosted daily, and offered in multiple languages, for small groups of no more than 25 persons.
We invite you to discover the secrets of this Modernist gem!
