Posted on 27 January 2009 in Barcelona, always!

Palaeontology is a historical-medical science that studies and analyzes illnesses through archaeological remains. This discipline allows to obtain very valuable anthropological and historical data.

The Egyptian Museum of Barcelona presents, with the collection Esquelets Malalts (Sick Skeletons), a journey through the many illnesses that our ancestors suffered –it goes back to the pre historical period and arrives at the present day. The exhibition is organized by the Dr Albert Isidro and the Professor Assumpció Malgosa from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Autonomous University of Barcelona).
