“Having decided to visit Barcelona for the first time in August 2007, I shopped around for the best deals and checked out feedback on hotels at Tripadvisor.com. I found the one Hotel that was always getting praise was the Soho hotel. Even though it was only classed as a 3 star hotel, it was so stylish, that it felt more like a 4 star and was even better than some 5 star hotels I’ve been in. The location was excellent – the metro is literally across the road and the choice of local bars, shops and restaurants was more than adequate.
The Hotel was cool and clean and so well designed. The elevators had nice finishing touches in them like miniature lcd screens, the bathrooms were very stylish (even with the novel electric blinds) and well stocked with all the toiletries you needed. The rooms have nice big 32″ LCD tv’s as well as nice adjustable mood lighting.
The roof terrace and pool was great to unwind after a long day sightseeing, and although not an enormous pool, it was more than adequate to splash about and cool down in, especially as it had water jets to massage you.
All in all, I cannot fault the hotel. The staff were polite, the internet was free, the rooms were clean and the location was very convenient. When I return to Barcelona in the future, I’ll definitely stay there again.”
