“My husband and I had a wonderful few days at the SoHo hotel. There was a slight difficulty with our original booking on the first night when we arrived in the early hours of the morning after a delayed flight. We were allocated a twin room and not the double room we had requested but the staff more than made up for this problem by moving our luggage for us the next morning and allocating us an amazing room on the 7th floor with a terrace overlooking the city.
The staff at the hotel couldn’t have been more apologetic and in no way did it affect our impressions of this hotel. We have travelled widely and stayed at several contemporary boutique hotels all over the world but we were very impressed with the quality of the furnishings and the convenience of everything. Our terrace, with its wooden decking and chairs and a lounger was a sun trap and it was very difficult to leave it each morning and do some sight-seeing!
Room 74 was spacious with a large bed, sofa, table, and flat screen television. The bathroom had quality Duravit furnishings with lovely toiletries. Apart from the lovely room other highlights of the hotel were the delightful breakfasts and the roof-top terrace with the pool. Next time we go, we would aim to sit up on the terrace with a bottle of Cava listening to the gurgling of the water in the pool and the sound of the city in the background. We used room service once and it was quick and efficient.
All of the things I have written don’t do the hotel justice, so my advice is to book it and go – you will not be disappointed. The staff work very hard on their customer relations and their welcome is second to none. We would not hesitate to stay there again on another visit to Barcelona and we would certainly recommend it to friends. Thank you to all the staff and a special ‘thank you’ to Oliver.
Best regards and good luck to you all.”
