Superb Hotel!

We stayed prior to an NCL cruise. When we arrived early, our room was ready for us! From the minute we stepped into the Barcelona Hotel 1898, we were treated professionally and friendly. The room was very clean, quiet, bedding comfortable, amenities excellent, and location, location, location. We are very happy to have stayed at the Hotel 1898 prior to this cruise. Our last cruise leaving out of Barcelona, we stayed at the Hotel Montecarlo just across the street. That hotel in our opinion did not come even close to the Hotel 1898. All future stays in Barcelona will be at the Hotel 1898! A good value for a tremendous hotel.

Excellent stay in Barcelona

We stayed in Hotel Barcelona Universal for three nights on our wonderful visit to Barcelona in the beginning of March 2010.

Every day we very much enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet, the quick access to the city via the metro just outside the door or the short stroll to the Rambla, and when we came home in the evening from a long day of sightseeing we enjoyed returning to our nice and clean room.

The service was great. The breakfast left nothing else to wish for, the rooftop terrace was a great place for enjoying the last sunshine of the day or the amazing view of Barcelona.

I have already started recommending this hotel to other people going to Barcelona.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

Innerhalb von drei Monaten war ich bereits das zweite Mal bei Ihnen zu Gast und es wird sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal sein. Der Aufenthalt war wie auch beim ersten Besuch sehr angenehm und meine Reisebegleitung und ich haben uns in Ihrem Hause sehr wohl gefühlt.

Ich freue mich bereits auf den nächsten Besuch in Barcelona und werde wieder gerne in Ihrem Hause als Gast sein. Zwischenzeitlich werden sicherlich ein paar meiner Freunde/Freundinnen Ihre Gäste sein, da ich Ihr Hotel als hervorragend weiterempfohlen habe.

Hotel 1898 quand tout est parfait

Nous avons séjourné une nuit à cet hôtel en choisissant le pack romantique pour la saint valentin comprenant un massage.

Tout d’abord cet hôtel est situé en plein milieu des ramblas. On ne peut pas faire plus près. A notre arrivée le seul bémol fut la réservation de massage impossible car les réservations étaient complètes. Il était nécessaire de réserver à l’avance mais rien ne le spécifié sur l’e-mail de confirmation.Bref un détail car du coup nous avons choisi une chambre privilège. La chambre était superbe, grande , tout équipé, avec douche et baignoire. Une déco très “classy” avec vue sur les ramblas.

La piscine intérieure est très belle avec une ambiance relax.Toutes les installations sont en très bonne état.Par curiosité nous sommes monté au dernier étage pour voir la piscine dommage que nous soyons en Février…

Le petit déjeuner est sous forme de buffet avec une très très grande variété rien ne manquait  et les produits sont de qualités.

Vraiment un hôtel à conseiller car vous ne serez pas déçus. Si vous aimez l’ambiance cosy et calme avec des prestations de qualité cet hotel est pour vous..

Soho, next time I come to Barcelona !

We stayed in the Soho Hotel from 11th to 13th Feb. 2010 and were very pleased with our stay!

The hotel is nice and clean, perfectly situated right in the city centre, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the top room with the big terrace was wonderful !

The breakfast was ok , the choice could maybe have been a little larger and it would have been nice to have some chocolates on the pillows like in other hotels… but that is the only and a very small negative point. This hotel would definitely be my first choice again the next time I come to Barcelona !

Hotel Jazz à Barcelone

nous avons réservé l’hotel pour un week end de Février, et nous avons été ravi.

Tout d’abord, nous avons effectué notre réservation par internet. Quelques jours avant la date, l’hotel re-confirme la réservation (ca rassure)

L’hotel Jazz est idéalement situé dans Barcelone, près des ramblas et des stations de métro.

Sur place, le personnel était très accueillant.

Les chambres sont modernes, classes et propres.

Nous n’avons pas testé le petit dejeuner (10 euros, c’est un peu cher)

Pour les beaux jours, l’hotel dispose d’une magnifique terrasse et piscine sur le toit!

Enfin,il y a un accès wi fi gratuit dans toutes les chambres.

Les moins concernant l’hotel, c’est l’insonorisation du coté des couloirs, et le prix du parking de l’hotel, qui est à 22 eurs par jour…

Globalement, nous avons été ravi de notre séjour, et reprendrons surement le même hotel lors de notre prochain séjour à Barcelone.

Location, location, location…

The location is excellent, whether walking out of the front door straight up to Montjuic via the Mies pavillion, or hopping on the Metro at Espanya which is at the junction of 2 key lines. It is also a very short walk into the heart of the Raval and not much further to the sea front. The hotel’s very slick roof-top terrace on the 8th floor, with bar service and infinity pool, takes full advantage of the situation with breath-taking views across the city. It’s a perfect location for idle sun worshippers.

Inside, the rooms are as seen on the website - even the basic rooms are very spacious and relaxing. The minimalist styling with recessed lighting doesn’t mean sacrificing all the comforts of a good 4-star hotel and it does mean a sense of calm and comfort. The service too is very friendly and helpful.

I could happily live out of the hotel…if only I didn’t have to return home…que sera sera…

Exceptionnelle sur la Plaza Espanya

Très bel hotel, notre séjour a été parfait, un accueil irréprochable de jour comme de nuit, le parking est très utile et sécurisant. L’esthétique de la chambre ainsi que son entretien a été à la hauteur de nos attentes. Et l’on peut profiter d’une vue exceptionnelle du toit-piscine sur la plaza Espana. Autre atout : le metro est à deux pas pour aller en centre ville en quelques minutes à peine. Je recommande vivement l’hotel ; j’y reviendrais avec plaisir. Merci encore pour votre accueil.
