Fundraising Event for Japan

The most powerful earthquake to hit Japan in at least 100 years unleashed walls of water that swept across rice fields, engulfing towns, dragging houses onto highways and tossing cars and boats like toys.

BWA Yatching and MB’92 are organising a charity drinks reception to raise money for the Spanish Red Cross working in Japan’s disaster-stricken zones. The event will be held at Hotel 1898, Barcelona on March 31st.

BWA Yachting serves over 275 ports and marinas through BWA owned and operated offices worldwide. The primary objective is to support the increasingly complex and demanding role of the captain and crew, allowing them to focus on ensuring that the level of service required by the guests is delivered. BWA Yachting is there from start to finish, from planning to implementation of every aspect of the trip.

Hôtel 1898: situé en plein coeur du Barcelone

Nous venons de séjourner dans cet hôtel mon épouse et moi et nous sommes littéralement enchantés par les prestations fournies par cet établissement situé en plein coeur du Barcelone typique (tout prés de la place de Catalogne) sur la Rambla et toutes ses animations. Mon épouse qui y est venu un an avant avait envie de me faire connaitre “1898″ et je n’ai pas été déçu. Accueil charmant du personnel s’efforçant de parler français (chose rare en Espagne!!), d’un petit déjeuner pantagruélique et très varié, d’une piscine intérieure avec saunas, de chambres très confortables, d’un salon au style colonial des plus charmants et encore une fois d’une situation géographique excellente. Une adresse que nous recommandons à toutes les personnes qui souhaitent loger dans un vrai hôtel alliant le luxe et la simplicité.

Wonderful & lovely Hotel 1898

We had a wonderful stay at the lovely Hotel 1898.
We enjoyed a beautiful room and took the opportunity to dine in the hotel restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The food was great from morning to night!

We appreciated the very attentive service throughout the hotel. The location is very convenient to some of the most exciting sights in Barcelona, so we were able to do lots of walking. Hotel 1898 is an excellent place to stay and recommend it highly.

Hotel 1898 was fantastic!

From the moment we entered the Hotel 1898 front door, the lovely scent that is customized for the lobby, welcomed us to the point that we wanted to bottle it!

We stayed in 5 hotels throughout Spain (4&5 star) during our trip in Sept/Oct 2010, and Hotel 1898 was by far our favorite. The Decor, Service, Guest Room and Location exceeded our expectations.

Close walking distance to the Barri Gothic, Port/Sea, Passeig Gracia for shopping and a block from the most outstanding Boqueria!

We do hope to return. Muchas Gracias.

Great Hotel to stay

It would be one of the finest boutique hotel in Barcelona, price for the quality of room, spa & restaurant they is absolutely okay, one wud prefer to hv airport transfers on the house although. Service was excellent, and every room was classy. One thing which I felt was that some of the staff were little apprehensive towards Asians, which was absolutely uncalled for. Otherwise u need not go to a 5 star hotel, this hotel rooms are better than luxury hotels.

17.000 people at Palau de la Música
