Terrace at Hotel 1898 Barcelona
Within the last 10 months I´ve stayed twice at Hotel 1898. It´s been pure pleasure. On our check-out we figured out how to be able to return as soon as possible. This hotel has got everything: The location, the interior, the fascilities, the Summer in South-feel in addition to impeccable service, good food and oldtime-soul.
During our last week here late June 2009 the weather was terrific. We stayed mornings on the rooftop, sunbathing and swiming. We took lunchtrips to L´Eixample´s many nice bistronomias (don´t miss Cinc Sentits), had tapas on the roof late afternoons. Evenings we spent “undercover” the beautiful double sunbeds, reading and sipping to a colourful cocktail.
The best holidays ever! Can´t wait to go back. Thank you all for providing us a memorable stay in Barcelona.

H1898: Perfect wedding anniversary

Our stay at Hotel 1898 was a perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location, on the Ramblas and minutes away from the Plaza Catalunya, meant we were able to easily explore the wonderful attractions in Barcelona.
The hotel itself was outstanding, being comfortbale and with a great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming.
Facilities such as the pools, gym and bar provided a an opportunity to wind down and chill out when needed.
Our trip to Barcelona and our stay in Hotel 1898 exceeded our expectations with the only downside being a little unexpected rain.
