Wonderful stay at H1898

We read great reviews of H1898 on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a go. 6 of us booked in for a leisurely weekend and were not disappointed. Everything was tip top. The rooms were great; the beds and pillows tremendous. The location on the Ramblas was perfect and the rooftop bar and pool were just perfect, especially with a Mojito in one hand. Everything we hoped for was realised. I loom forward to many more stays at this truly lovely hotel in my favourite city.

Petit HIC , chambre classique un peu trop petite et température trop élevée donnant sur un patio interieur qui fait que vous ne pouvez pas vraiment faire entrer de l air frais !

Un séjour superbe dans l’H1898. Du déjeuner le matin bon et varié, idéal pour démarrer les promenades dans Barcelone. La Piscine et le spa, faits pour se détendre au retour avant de profiter des nuits dans les petits troquets typiques de Barcelone. Une chambre propre, calme, confortable. Bref, mon seul regrets ? n’être resté que 2 jours ! Mais promis, je reviendrais…

Wonderful & lovely Hotel 1898

We had a wonderful stay at the lovely Hotel 1898.
We enjoyed a beautiful room and took the opportunity to dine in the hotel restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The food was great from morning to night!

We appreciated the very attentive service throughout the hotel. The location is very convenient to some of the most exciting sights in Barcelona, so we were able to do lots of walking. Hotel 1898 is an excellent place to stay and recommend it highly.

Great Hotel to stay

It would be one of the finest boutique hotel in Barcelona, price for the quality of room, spa & restaurant they is absolutely okay, one wud prefer to hv airport transfers on the house although. Service was excellent, and every room was classy. One thing which I felt was that some of the staff were little apprehensive towards Asians, which was absolutely uncalled for. Otherwise u need not go to a 5 star hotel, this hotel rooms are better than luxury hotels.

Great terrace at Hotel 1898

Spent 5 nights in H1898 in July. It’s the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in, really comfortable and well-run.

The views from the roof are great, especially after a cocktail from the bar up there, and the breakfast is great.

Hotel 1898… Wow !!!

WOW… Not enough can be said about Hotel 1898 …
I stayed at both the Le Meridien and Hotel 1898 and 1898 wins hands down.

The service, amenities and facilities are just great. I really felt at home in the Deluxe Room – Great Terraces..

In fact it is one of the nicest hotels I have ever visited.

Hotel 1898: a gem in Barcelona

Superior Hotel 1898. This hotel is a gem. We stayed one night for a seven night visit in Barcelona. Left H1898 after one night. Only to see what else was available, stayed at a few other hotels. Packed our bags, walked back to H1898 and said “We’re staying here”. Nothing compared to H1898. Not even the W Hotel.

For a superior hotel it has a genuine and classy feeling. The staff too. Very sophisticated, classy, smart, friendly and smiley. All without being stuffy. For a hotel with history. The energy is electrifying. If we ever return to Barcelona, we will be staying at H1898. Two pools.. roof top and a magical indoor pool. Wow. Seriously. I loved it.
