U232 Hotel Review

I recently stayed at the U232 Hotel with my wife for four nights for a birthday surprise. 

It has an excellent location and the staff were extremely helpful, advising what would be good to see whilst staying in the city and also how to walk, get the metro or bus.  They were always courteous to us taking time to greet you when entering or leaving the hotel. 

We had a good sized room with very nice facilities, balcony (although the view could have been much better, we looked onto the building behind the hotel?), large en-suite (with a glass wall in-between the en-suite and the bedroom) and a very comfortable bed & pillows, so were able to have great sleep which is very important on holidays!!  The local restaurants were of a good quality so choice was not limited.  Also a local cafe, called El Fornet, was particularly good for breakfast & lunch!! 

Overall we really enjoyed our visit to Barcelona and would definately think of a return visit!

Nous venons de passer un superbe week-end à Barcelone en séjournant à l’hôtel U232.

La réalité est conforme au site web. Le design est très réussi, bois sombre et espaces épuré, de belles photos noir et blanc de Barcelone aux murs. Bonne musique de jazz au bar hélas vide malgré de confortables fauteuils. Agréable odeur en entrant.

Notre chambre était spacieuse, dotée d’un lit king size plus large que d’ordinaire, d’un grand écran plat (pas de lecteur CD/DVD) et la salle de bains très propre (un tout petit peu plus grande serait pas plus mal). Chambre bien insonorisée - nous étions coté « cour » - mais vue décevante.

Le personnel est très serviable. Le buffet petit déjeuner très bien mais peut être un peu cher (13 eur ). Accès rapide au métro (L5) et bus.

Photographic Contest: Barcelona, always!

Núñez i Navarro Hotels launches its first photographic contest “Barcelona, always!” through facebook.

In order to partake in the contest, open to everyone, you only need to become a a fan of Núñez i Navarro Hotels in facebook and post a picture on the wall.

First prize will be a 2-nights stay with breakfast included at U232 Hotel, a fantastic hotel in Eixample downtown Barcelona. Photographer Marie Espeus collaborated on the decoration of the hotel with wonderful pictures of Barcelona in black and white.

Second prize will be a dinner for two people at the magnificent Restaurant H1898, on Las Ramblas of Barcelona, to discover the Tasting Menu featuring the new tapas by our Chef Carles Boronat. A gastronomic proposal featuring delicatessen such as Oxtail cannelloni with morels or Capuccino of Porcini mushrooms with Idiazabal cheese mousse and truffle oil.

Hôtel U232: Quatre jours formidables à Barcelone

Avons passé quatre jours formidables à Barcelone. L’hôtel U232 est vraiment central bien situé pas trop loin du métro et accessible par plusieurs lignes. Les chambres sont belles, le petit déjeuner très bien et le personnel très agréable. Le seul petit bémol est que contrairement à nos amis avec qui nous avons voyagé et qui avaient une chambre sur cour, la notre sur rue étant quand même bruyante malgré les doubles vitrages. Pour un mois de novembre moins fréquenté et avec des boules quies, c’était limite. L’hôpital pas loin et les sirènes sont quand même un handicap pour ceux qui comme nous ont un sommeil très léger. Mais nous y retournerons quand même mais demanderons une chambre sur cour.

I would recommend U232 Hotel to anyone.

I wanted to thank you for the very pleasant time we had at U232.  My wife and I stopped in Barcelona for a day before and a day after our cruise.  U232 helped make it a very, very good time.  Your staff was very efficient and being an English speaking American, we appreciated that they also spoke English.  I wish my language skills were better, but they are very poor.

You have a wonderful facility, a great staff and a nice location.
